Tarik-Alexandre Chbani

Me Tarik-Alexandre Chbani

President, Attorney

Tarik Alexandre Chbani has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2015 and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal. In his practice, Mr. Chbani advises various professional associations, as well as businesses and individuals—including professional athletes—on matters of disciplinary and professional law, civil and commercial litigation, real estate law, construction law, and sports law.

Jean Lanctot

Me Jean Lanctot

Me Lanctot B.A., LL.B., has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1985. He practices primarily in the areas of professional and disciplinary law.

  • For nearly 40 years, Mr. Lanctot has represented various professional associations as an attorney and legal advisor;
  • A frequent guest speaker in the continuing education programs of various professional associations;

A member of the Quebec Bar since 2020, Marie-Hélène Lanctot holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Montreal and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Quebec in Montreal. She joined the Lanctot Avocats team in 2017, first as a student, then as an articling student, and finally as an attorney.

Abigaëlle Allard-Robitaille

Me Abigaëlle Allard-Robitaille

Senior Attorney

A member of the Quebec Bar since 2017, Abigaëlle Allard-Robitaille joined the team at Lanctot Avocats in 2022. Since then, she has devoted her practice exclusively to professional and disciplinary law. She serves as a lecturer for training programs on ethics and professional conduct and contributed to articles published in Recent Developments in Professional and Disciplinary Law 2025, as well as in Recent Developments in Estates and Trusts 2020. She has also taught the course Ethics, Professional Conduct, and Professional Practice at the Bar School.

  • She helped create the content published on JuridiQC, a digital legal information platform managed by SOQUIJ and funded by the Quebec Ministry of Justice.

Mathieu Laplante-Goulet

Me Mathieu Laplante-Goulet.

Senior Attorney

A member of the Quebec Bar since 2015, Mathieu Laplante-Goulet joined the team at Lanctot Avocats in 2022. He practices in professional and disciplinary law, civil litigation, and administrative law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Laval University, a certificate in political science from the same university, and a Master’s degree in business law with a specialization in sports law from Aix-Marseille University.

Sophie Boucher places particular emphasis on the human aspect of the profession. She holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Montreal and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Laval University, and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2022, the year she joined the team at Lanctot Avocats.

A member of the Quebec Bar since 2024, Mr. Gendreau joined the Lanctot Avocats team in the summer of 2024 as a bar trainee. Eager to take on new challenges, he began a master’s degree in taxation in the winter of 2025.

A member of the Bar since 2025, Ms. Henida holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She joined the Lanctot Avocats team in the fall of 2024, first as a Bar intern and then continuing her career with the firm. During her studies, Ahlam was involved in various causes that allowed her to develop the professional skills and interpersonal abilities essential to successfully meeting the various challenges of the legal profession.

Aurore Bondu was admitted to the Quebec Bar in March 2025. She joined our firm after gaining extensive legal experience at leading law firms in Paris and Montreal, where she developed her expertise in civil and commercial litigation, as well as in commercial and transactional law.

She primarily practices in civil and commercial litigation, as well as in disciplinary and professional law. She advises a diverse client base, including individuals, businesses, and professional associations, and supports her clients at every stage of the legal process, from case analysis to representation in court.

She holds a master’s degree in international business law from the University of Rennes in France, as well as a master’s degree in English Business Law from Keele University in England. Ms. Bondu practices in both French and English.

Our legal counsel


A member of the Quebec Bar since 1988, Jean-Marc Ferland holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from McGill University. He also earned a Licentiate in Swiss Law (LL.L.) from the University of Lausanne (Canton of Vaud). He subsequently completed a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law at McGill University in 1993.

He joined the team at Lanctot Avocats in January 2023 as a legal counsel, bringing with him over 35 years of valuable and diverse experience in the legal profession.

Mr. Jila has been a member of the Bar since 2015. He practices health law at a mother-and-child hospital and, in his private practice, advises various institutional clients on professional, criminal, and disciplinary law. Mr. Jila is known for his thoroughness, his availability, and his pragmatic approach.

Joseph Daoura, LL.B., M.A.

Legal Counsel / Attorney

Joseph Daoura is an attorney in private practice and a member of the Quebec Bar. He holds a degree in French law and a master’s degree in private law. In Canada, his multidisciplinary legal practice, spanning various areas of law, focuses primarily on negotiating and drafting contracts, as well as litigating civil, commercial, and corporate matters before provincial civil and administrative courts and federal courts. He has also argued immigration and citizenship cases before the Federal Court of Canada. Mr. Daoura is a recognized arbitrator in civil and commercial matters by the Quebec Bar.

In addition to his career as a lawyer, Mr. Daoura was elected to the City Council of Mont-Royal and served in that capacity from 2009 to 2021. While on the council, he helped pass several resolutions regarding urban planning, various permits, and calls for bids.

In general, Mr. Daoura’s legal practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, private international law, immigration law, and business law. He has been involved in cases involving various types of commercial contracts, the registration of different corporate charters, the execution of partnership agreements, as well as the development of comprehensive strategies and legal structures for companies in the context of domestic and international commercial transactions.

Throughout his career, Mr. Daoura has worked as a legal advisor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he has been involved in major energy contracts.

In addition, Mr. Daoura has been involved in the establishment of various nonprofit charitable organizations and has participated in interviews with Radio-Canada and local Montreal media outlets on a range of legal, social, and political issues.

Our Bar interns


Audrey holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Sherbrooke. Throughout her studies, she gained practical experience in law and taxation through various internships. She also participated in her university’s legal clinic and completed a semester of study in France. She began her career at Lanctot Avocats in May 2025 and is currently completing her Bar internship there.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Montreal, Juliette joined the team at Lanctot Avocats as a law student in the summer of 2025 and will complete her bar internship in 2026.

Throughout her academic career, she has been actively involved in faculty life, notably as chair of the Health Law Committee. Her keen interest in ethical and professional conduct issues has led her to develop a particular affinity for professional and disciplinary law, a field she hopes to explore further in her future practice.

Mary-Ève is a law student at the University of Ottawa. Throughout her academic career, she has been active in several student associations, including the Criminal and Correctional Law Association and the Business Law Association at the University of Ottawa. She also contributes to the McGill Legal Information Clinic.

Ghita is a student in the dual bachelor’s degree program in civil law and international development at the University of Ottawa. Throughout her academic career, she has been actively involved in student life, including serving as president of the International Law Student Society. These experiences have allowed her to develop strong leadership, organizational, and collaborative skills. She is joining the team at Lanctot Avocats as a law student for the summer of 2026.

Our support team


With a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Montreal, Alexandra decided to change careers and entered the legal field. After earning her degree in paralegal technology, she joined the Lanctot Avocats team in 2023, first as an intern, before continuing in the role of paralegal and commissioner of oath.

Angelina joined Lanctot Avocats in January 2024 as an intern. She holds a degree in paralegal technology, a certificate in criminology from the University of Montreal, and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law.

Thomas Laplante-Goulet

Head of Communications, Technology Development, and Special Projects

After several years of studying music, notably at McGill University (Musical Applications of Technology), Thomas wanted to explore new areas of knowledge, which led him to join the Lanctot Avocats team as an administrative assistant in April 2024.

With an interest in Indigenous law as well as music and arts law, Thomas is currently completing a certificate in Indigenous Studies at Laval University before continuing his career in the legal field.

Thomas has served as the head of communications, technology development, and special projects since April 2026.

Bradley has been an administrative assistant at Lanctot Avocats since March 2026. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources management at UQAM, he stands out for his keen interest in legal issues related to the workplace. His background has enabled him to develop a comprehensive understanding of professional realities from human, organizational, and legal perspectives. Aspiring to pursue a law degree, he is particularly interested in labor law and litigation, while also maintaining an interest in real estate law and criminal law.
